Active Directory and Exchange Fun

What do you do with a .edu that’s spread across a state, with 14 regions, 24 campuses, and perhaps 45 sites that are all independently managed and maintained and contain a mix of Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, 98/ME/2K/XP, Novell, and Linux?

You set up a single Active Directory forest and move ‘em all into that, of course. This is the newest project I’m getting involved in… upwards of 100,000 users, probably 50,000 computers, and $deity knows how many printers, file servers and shares, and all that crap.

This one’s going to be fun… I think I’ll have a beer now. =)
