Things Are Much, Much Better…

Personal, Dear Vendor Add comments

Well, things are a whole helluva lot better now than they were two weeks ago, I guess. I’ve had a couple people ask about my truck and stuff, so here’s an update.

Fortunately, my insurance company, Progressive is… how do I say it? Fuckin’ good will suffice. Before I was an hour away from Indy on my way home the day my truck got broken into, I was on the phone with a claims rep. named Carrie in Bloomington (the town where I work). She got shit taken care of. By the end of the next day, Friday, I had a check for a repair shop and a new stereo system/CD player. I had to wait until Saturday for the folks at Best Buy to install it, but that’s not Carrie’s fault. I still had to pay the $500 deductible, which majorly sucks ass, but shit happens, I suppose.

Let’s see… what else? The IOS upgrade went fine, fortunately (which is always a plus when the guy doing the upgrading is an hour and 15 minutes away). Ashley just got into town tonight, I called to see where she was and she said they had just gotten back into town. There’s a “wedding rehearsal” tomorrow at 6.30pm that I have to be at, then her wedding is Saturday at… 4.00pm, I think? Should probably double-check that. I had to pick up my tux tonight — lots of fun, that.

Beth and Rick should be in town Saturday too, I think. Lindsey and I are taking them to dinner Sunday evening. That should be fun — I haven’t seen her for… almost three years.

My old friend Jon got out of prison two days ago, after doing two and a half years (selling drugs — tsk tsk). Hopefully he’s over that and will keep his ass clean.

Oh, and I booked a hotel for Spring Break tonight. We’re not going to Cancun like we wanted (I didn’t realize how expensive that fuckin’ place was!). We are heading south, just not that far. Destination: St. Petersburg, Florida. The Sirata Beach Resort at 5300 Gulf Blvd. in St. Pete. Beach, to be exact. I have some family in St. Petersburg and the Largo area, so hopefully I can see them for a bit while I’m there, too.

Anyways, that’s all, folks! It’s almost 1.00am and I have to be up E-A-R-L-Y tomorrow (I hate that word!).

Of course the IOS upgrade went smoothly, it is Cisco - how could anything ever go wrong? (cough)
